Tax Law

We understand taxes most likely do not belong among your favourite hobbies, but we are here to help you orient through them and to deal with them in the best possible way. In tax law, we are recognized professionals, we have received the award "highly recommended office" in the most prestigious domestic law competition - the “Law firm of the year” for the fifth time in a row.

We concentrate particularly on the complex issue of tax proceedings and clients´ representation before tax authorities, including their consequent representation before administrative courts. We also deal with the new and developing sub-area of criminal law - the criminal tax law, and thereto connected issue of active repentance.

In the area of tax law we can provide in particular:

  • legal aid and representation in tax proceedings, particularly during tax inspections and investigation;

  • representation in disputes with the tax administrator, also within administrative justice;

  • legal counselling, consultations and preparation of analyses and opinions from the area of tax law.

Ondřej Málek on the naDANĚ podcast about disguised employment (švarcsystém) and taxation

Tax advisor Ondřej Málek was a guest on the naDANĚ podcast of the Czech chamber of tax advisors. Together with host Matěj Nešleha, he discussed the fine line between legal tax optimization and disguised employment (švarcsystém), the indicators of dependent work that tax authorities focus on, and why state enforcement alone cannot solve the issue.

What will tax audits of holding companies focus on?

The tax authority has identified around 130 holding companies, which are expected to result in additional tax assessments totalling approximately three billion CZK. In an interview for Česká justice, Ondřej Trubač and Patrik Koželuha explain why economic substance and timely documentation are more important than the mere existence of a holding company, and what sanctions companies may face.

Ondřej Trubač and Patrik Koželuha for Česká justice on the new clampdown on disguised employment

The state is stepping up its efforts against illegal employment and is linking authorities through the new “Kobra 2026” initiative. In an interview for Česká justice, our tax attorneys explain why the focus is shifting from VAT to income taxes and why the stakes are no longer limited to additional tax assessments amounting to millions, but now also include potential criminal liability.
