Lectures by Petr Bříza and Marta Zavadilová for judges, prosecutors and fellow lawyers
Several seminars by one of the firm’s founding partners Petr Bříza and Marta Zavadilová will be held during the Advent period, covering topics of litigation, EU law and private international law.
On Tuesday, 29 November, Petr Bříza will address practical arbitration issues at a Czech Bar Association seminar. It is meant for fellow attorneys who do not usually deal with arbitration but are interested in learning more about it. Among other things, there will be a discussion about issues such as how to choose the right arbitrator, how written submissions should look like and what strategy to choose at oral hearings.
On Thursday, 1 December, the Judicial Academy will host a seminar on selected issues of the Private International Law Act for judges and prosecutors, which will include a lecture by Zuzana Fišerová from the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, alongside Petr Bříza and Marta Zavadilová.
Finally, on Thursday 15 December, Petr Bříza will again give a lecture with Marta Zavadilová for the Judicial Academy on the topic of jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (Brussels I bis Regulation).
