Business breakfast: 'Assets that last for generations'
11. June 2026
On Wednesday, June 10, together with Verdi Capital, we organized a business breakfast at Prague’s Grand Mark Hotel focused on topics that an increasing number of entrepreneurs, investors, and family business owners are addressing today.
The discussion centered on how to think about assets from a long-term perspective—not only in terms of their growth, but also their protection, management, and transfer to the next generation.
Representing our firm were partners Barbora Paclíkováand Marta Zavadilová, along with attorney Martina Pelikánová. In their presentation, they focused on when it is more appropriate to choose a foundation versus a trust and what are the main differences between the two.
They also addressed related issues of family and inheritance law, specifically how to structure a marital property regime and properly establish relationships within the family and the business.
The program featured speakers from Verdi Capital. Kateřina Zychová introduced Verdi Capital and its approach to asset allocation; Václav Štekr discussed investments in agriculture and long-term sustainable real assets; and Petr Novotný provided insights into the current investment environment in 2026.
We would like to thank all our guests for their participation and for a pleasant morning discussing a topic of fundamental importance to many entrepreneurs and family businesses.
