Pay Transparency: New Obligations for Employers Under the European Directive

The European Pay Transparency Directive will introduce new obligations for employers in the coming years. Its main objective is to strengthen salary transparency and enable employees to better compare pay for the same or comparable work.

Among other things, the new rules aim to ensure that job applicants are informed about the starting salary or its range before the job interview. At the same time, employers will be required to define their remuneration policies more clearly and justify any differences between employees based on objective criteria.
