Pay transparency: What the new EU rules will mean for Czech employers

The EU Directive on strengthening the application of the principle of equal pay for men and women for equal work or work of equal value, and its forthcoming implementation into Czech law, will introduce a number of new obligations for Czech employers. These include informing job applicants of the minimum salary before concluding an employment contract, prohibiting employers from asking about candidates’ salary history, and requiring larger employers to report regularly on gender pay gaps.
