Radka Čihulková, as part of her scientific work, focused on the issue of how to ensure that electronic evidence is authentic and admissible

How can we ensure that electronic evidence in criminal proceedings is reliable and cannot be challenged?

⚖️ This is precisely the question explored by Radka Čihulková in her chapter published in the new collective monograph The Use of Algorithms in Criminal Law: A Central European Perspective, published by Routledge. In her text Use of Algorithms in Securing Electronic Evidence in the Czech Republic, she addressed one of the most pressing issues in criminal law: how to guarantee that electronic evidence is authentic and admissible in court.
Electronic evidence is fragile, easily manipulated, and often cross-border. Radka explains how algorithms—especially hash functions—can strengthen its integrity, increase court confidence, and contribute to fairer and more transparent criminal proceedings.
